Liposuction Recovery
Recovery time refers to the length of time it takes for a patient to recover or get over the surgery. Liposuction recovery time can extend from a few days to months. The reasons for this are the actual conditions of the surgery and the patient. If the patient has undergone extensive liposuction, the recovery time will be slower. In general, however, the patient will be able to move about normally in less than a week. In some instances, a patient can return to work within a week. More common, the process is slower. Minimal discomfort remains into the second week. During this time, the patient will continue to wear the compression recovery garments. In the second week, life will begin to return to normality with increased mobility. This continues over the next few weeks with continued progress. Complete recovery usually occurs within a few months.
