Male Breast Reduction Surgery

The medical term for male breast reduction surgery is gynecomastia surgery. It is performed more frequently on adult males than males younger than 14. Obese males and young males are subject to enlarged male breasts. In the former case, however, diet and exercise may reduce the size. In the case of young men, the hormonal cause usually rectifies itself. In elder men, the loss of testosterone and an age-related increase in body fat results in the breasts. Male breast reduction surgery is 1 way to restore a more normal body shape. It reduces the breast in size restoring self- esteem. The process involves surgery and possibly liposuction. The client will need to have elastic skin to achieve maximum results. Possible risks include bleeding, bruising, scarring, swelling and infection.
